Paul Anthony Amess

Paul Amess is an entrepreneur and dealmaker who understands business brokerage from both sides of the table — because he has been the buyer and the seller himself. As a co-founder of Legacy Launch Brokers, he brings an operator’s instinct together with a financier’s discipline, having built, scaled, and exited companies of his own.

Born and raised in England, Paul came to the United States on a full golf scholarship and fell in love with America and its abundance of opportunity. He earned a Master’s degree in Finance from Temple University — but his entrepreneurial streak started far earlier: at thirteen he was already running his first business, selling blank CDs direct-to-consumer and wholesale. That blend of early hustle and formal financial training still defines how he approaches a deal.

Paul co-founded and sold AG Conexus alongside Laurence Banville, giving him direct, lived experience of the buy-side and sell-side dynamics that shape every transaction. He went on to co-found a marketing agency that has driven hundreds of millions of dollars in sales and leads, and founded a men’s lifestyle publication that drew more than 1.8 million visits a month. Beyond those ventures, he holds interests across a range of businesses and deals — including an InsureTech SaaS platform, a DLT music-streaming platform, a cigar wholesaler, and syndicated real estate and private-equity deals.

Before business, there was golf. Paul competed in high-level amateur and professional arenas — he captained Temple’s Division I men’s golf team, was named an ESPN Academic All-American and Temple Student-Athlete of the Year, and won both the Bermuda Amateur Championship and the Hertfordshire County Championship. He earned a tour card on the PGA EuroPro Tour and played a season as a professional before turning that competitive focus to building companies. The same discipline that took him on tour now goes into protecting and maximizing every client’s exit.

Away from the deal table, Paul is a lifelong traveler drawn to new places, people, art, history, food, and culture, and an avid sports fan who follows golf, the NFL, Premier League football, Formula 1, the NBA, and the UFC. When he isn’t working a deal, he can usually be found reading, cooking, or enjoying a good cigar.
